Quit Awka before is too late, warning goes to kidnappers & armed robbers - MASSOB

Irked by the resurgence of kidnappers, armed robbers and cultists in Anambra, especially in the state capital, Awka, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), yesterday, ordered the hoodlums to leave the capital city or be ready to meet their doom.

For some time now, Awka had been witnessing several killings and armed attacks by hoodlums without any challenge by the security agents. But the Regional Administrator, Awka South of MASSOB, Chief Nzekwe Damian, who gave the order after a meeting of the group at the regional headquarters, Awka, said henceforth, armed robbery and kidnapping were prohibited in Awka South region.

He warned that gangsters would no longer be tolerated in the area, advising them to change and live a better life in their own interest. Nzekwe further said, “we are warning miscreants to quit Awka or they will meet their doom. We will no longer watch them waste the lives and property of our people and go free.

“This is our region and we have an obligation to secure it and our people shall no longer live in fear. So we are giving all armed robbers, kidnappers, cultists and all involved in violent crimes quit notice from Awka South. This place will no longer accommodate them, as we will be all out for them if they refuse to heed the warning.”

Meanwhile, the region’s Director of Information, Mr. Obi Okoye has decried the constant killing of MASSOB members in Oba and other parts of Anambra State, warning that the movement would not tolerate such any longer.
